    GTT designing tanks for newbuild Excelerate FSRU

    Hyundai Heavy Industries has commissioned GTT to design equipment for a new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU1) on behalf of Excelerate Energy.

    PARIS, France — Hyundai Heavy Industries has commissioned GTT to design equipment for a new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU1) on behalf of Excelerate Energy, an LNG company.

    GTT will design the tanks, with a capacity of 170,000 cu m. They will be equipped with the company’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system.

    The FSRU is due to be delivered in second-quarter 2026.
