GTT designing membrane systems for Arctic LNG floaters

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has commissioned GTT to design the tanks for two floating LNG storage units ordered by Russian company GTLK.

PARIS – Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has commissioned GTT to design the tanks for two floating LNG storage units (FSU) ordered by Russian company GTLK.

Each FSU will have a capacity of 361,600 cu m and will be equipped with GTT’s NO96 GW membrane cryogenic containment system.

Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2022.

The vessels will be in the Murmansk region and in the Bay of Kamchatka off northern Russia, serving Novatek’s Arctic LNG 2 project.
