YPF, Eni and XRG seek Argentina investment incentives for twin-FLNG export project

Argentina LNG has applied to join Argentina's Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI), seeking support for a planned offshore FLNG project tied to gas from the Vaca Muerta shale.

Why this news matters:

  • The project could establish Argentina as a significant LNG exporter by linking Vaca Muerta gas production to offshore floating liquefaction capacity.

  • A positive RIGI decision may help unlock investment ahead of a targeted year-end FID for one of South America's largest proposed FLNG developments.
