MASSY, FranceCGG has issued its Southeast Asia Carbon Storage Study, an addition to its expanding Geoverse carbon storage portfolio that includes studies for the North Sea and the US Gulf of Mexico.

The new report, available for licensing, details and ranks opportunities across 58 basins in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, covering a total surface area of more than 6 million sq km.

CGG’s Carbon Storage, Geology and Data Hub teams have developed the studies to provide assessments of storage potential based on a proprietary quantitative and qualitative criteria-based screening methodology.

This evaluates both the deep subsurface features and the above-ground context, the company said.
