ADNOC awards McDermott major EPCI contract for Umm Shaif pressure boosting platform

ADNOC has awarded McDermott and QMW an EPCI contract to engineer, construct and install a major surface pressure boosting platform as part of the Umm Shaif Long Term Development Plan offshore Abu Dhabi.

Why this news matters:

  • The project supports ADNOC's efforts to maximize gas recovery and sustain production from the mature Umm Shaif Field through new pressure-boosting infrastructure.

  • The platform's massive topside, expected to be among the heaviest ever installed offshore the Middle East, highlights the scale of regional offshore investment and engineering activity.
