Aker Solutions awarded Dvalin North subsea trees, umbilicals

FORNEBU, Norway  Wintershall Dea has commissioned Aker Solutions to supply the subsea production system for the Dvalin North gas field development in the Norwegian Sea.

This will be tied back subsea through existing infrastructure to the Equinor-operated Heidrun platform.

The contract scope covers three horizontal subsea trees and control systems, a four-slot steel subsea template with an integrated manifold system, three wellhead systems, 10 km of static subsea umbilicals, and associated tie-in/installation work.

Final deliveries should take place toward the end of 2025.

Dvalin North lies west of Sandnessjøen in a water depth of 420 m, with reserves estimated at about 84 MMboe.

The gas will be exported via the Polarled pipeline to Nyhamna near Kristiansund. Startup is scheduled for late 2026.

Other partners in the development are Petoro and Sval Energi.
