    Wintershall Dea, OMV take Transocean rig for multiple wells

    KASSEL, Germany— Wintershall Dea and OMV have formed a partnership for a joint rig charter, the company said in its latest results statement.

    Late last month the duo contracted the harsh environment semisubmersible Transocean Norge to drill 11 wells operated by Wintershall Dea and six operated by OMV.

    Both also entered an exclusive partnership with Transocean for the use of the same rig to drill al their firm and potential wells planned for 2023-2027.
