Hoegh Gandria will be converted to an FSRU for deployment to the LNG terminal in Port of Sumed, Egypt.
Höegh Evi in Norway has contracted Seatrium to convert an LNG carrier to an FSRU.
The program for the Hoegh Gandria includes installation of a regasification skid and integration of cargo handling, utility, offloading, electrical and automation systems.
Engineering work will start shortly with the project set to take about 18 months to complete.
The converted FSRU LNG vessel will operate at the LNG terminal in Port of Sumed, Egypt, under a charter agreement between Höegh Evi and Egypt Natural Gas Holding Co. (EGAS).
