Transocean Norwegian rig contracted to 2026

STEINHAUSEN, Switzerland — An operator offshore Norway has exercised six one-well options for the Transocean Encourage semisubmersible rig.

The estimated 370-day program, valued at about $172 million, will take effect in direct continuation of the rig’s current firm term and will extend through February 2026.
