PERTH, Australiabp continues to ramp up production from the Mad Dog Phase 2 Argos platform in the US Gulf of Mexico (GoM), partner Woodside Energy said in a results update.

Following completion of the riser flex joint remediation, production has reached a peak of ~130 kbbl/d.

At the Atlantis Field in the southeastern Green Canyon area offshore Louisiana (also operated by bp), the first horizontal well has been completed and could lead to future infill drilling opportunities.

The partners have taken FID on the Atlantis Drill Center 1 Expansion (DC1X), a two-well tieback to the Atlantis platform via the existing DC1 manifold over the southwestern part of the field.

In GoM Lease Sale 261, Woodside secured 18 leases in the central and western areas within the Paleogene trends.

As for the company’s deepwater Trion Field development in the Mexican sector, Woodside has received tenders for the dry transportation of the floating production unit, the gas-gathering line pipe, and drilling and completion services.

Manufacture has started of subsea valves, umbilical tubing and line pipe.

In the Caribbean Sea, Woodside has completed its exit from exploration activities in the Carlisle Bay Block offshore Barbados.
