Petrobras invites bids for Tartaruga offshore Brazil

Petrobras is offering its 25% stake in the producing Tartaruga field in shallow waters in Brazil’s Sergipe-Alagoas basin.

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil – Petrobras is offering its 25% stake in the producing Tartaruga field in shallow waters in Brazil’s Sergipe-Alagoas basin.

Operator Maha Energy Brasil holds the remaining 75%.

Tartaruga is onshore/offshore the northern coast of the state of Sergipe, close to the city of Pirambu. Its wells were drilled directionally from shore.

Production in 2021 averaged 222 b/d of 37º API oil and 4,660 cu m/d (162,2447 cf/d) of associated gas (used for power generation).

Petrobras estimates in place oil volumes at 89.5 MMbbl.

Planned drilling in 2023 includes well TTG-4, targeting 450 b/d, and depending in the result, TTG-5.
