RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil — Petrobras has decided to terminate the competitive process for the partial sale of four deepwater concessions in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin offshore Brazil.

The BM- SEAL-4, 4-A, 10 and 11 permits include the Agulhinha, Budião, Budião Noroeste, Budião Sudeste, Cavala and Palombeta fields. These will now not be offered for sale.

Collectively they represent the start of development of a new frontier in deep water in the basin, the company added. The offer process had started in 2018.
