OSLO, NorwayNoreco has issued updates on work programs at its various Danish North Sea hubs.

The company is a partner to operator Total, having recently acquired Shell’s interests in the former DUC consortium that was the majority owner of the various fields.

Last September production was suspended at the Tyra hub for the full-field Tyra redevelopment project, with “safe state” status attained in January.

Isolation and cleaning of the existing Tyra modules for decommissioning later this year is progressing as planned, with Allseas’ Pioneering Spirit due to remove the Tyra East A and Tyra West A process platforms around mid-year.

Fabrication of the new wellhead and riser modules, which was initially performed at McDermott’s Batam yard in Indonesia, has now been subcontracted to Sembcorp Marine Offshore Platforms Singapore, with delivery planned in 2021 followed by subsequent sea transportation to the North Sea for offshore installation.

Rosetti Marino is fabricating the accommodation module in Ravenna, Italy, again for delivery in 2021. This will be installed in the North Sea under the same installation campaign as the wellhead and riser modules.

The process module fabricated at McDermott’s Batam yard should also be delivery next year. As for the two new jackets fabricated by Dragados Offshore in Cádiz, southwest Spain, for the process and accommodation modules, both are in the final completion phase with sail away and installation expected in 2Q.

At the Halfdan complex, water injection had to be temporarily suspended for a planned shutdown of the Dan FG compressor, but is now back in service. Several of the field’s wells have undergone stimulation, while a compressor was out for a period for a scheduled wash and maintenance program.

At the Dan hub, various wells underwent planned workovers and were successfully put back onstream. The Dan FG compressor is also back in operation.

Finally, the Gorm hub underwent a major maintenance campaign late last year concerning several wellheads and pipeline pigging operations, with repairs conducted on the water injection system.
