STAVANGER, Norway – Total has shut down the Tyra field in the Danish North Sea as part of the Tyra Redevelopment project, according to partner Noreco.

Work is continuing on the Tyra offshore facilities to ensure ‘safe state’ in January 2020, Noreco added, and offshore modification and construction is progressing ahead of change-out of the wellhead and riser modules and decommissioning and removal of the existing process and accommodation platforms.

Fabrication is under way in Indonesia of the replacement wellhead and riser modules and the new process module, with the new accommodation and the jacket platforms under construction respectively in Italy and Spain.

The project remains on schedule for start-up in 2022.
