LUXEMBOURG — Turkish Petroleum Offshore Technology Center (TP-OTC) has expanded the Subsea Integration Alliance EPCI contract for the Phase 2a development of the Sakarya gas field in the Black Sea.

The Subsea Integration Alliance will also now install a floating production unit (FPU)—Turkey’s first—for the project.

Subsea7, as a member of the alliance, will install and integrate risers, umbilicals, hook-ups and mooring systems with the FPU, coordinating project management and engineering from its office in Istanbul.

Phase 2 will add a further 26 wells to boost production capacity by an additional 30 MMcm/d, and it is due to be completed in 2028, according to the terms of the alliance’s first contracted awarded in May 2023.
