STAVANGER, Norway -- ConocoPhillips Skandinavia has issued an EPC contract to Aker Solutions for two jackets for its latest Ekofisk development program in the Norwegian North Sea.
Aker Solutions’ yard in Verdal will provide engineering, procurement, construction, load-out, and sea-fastening of a steel jacket and a bridge-support jacket, and associated piles for the new Ekofisk 2/4L accommodation platform.
Detail engineering has already started, with fabrication due to get under way in Verdal in November 2010. Both jackets should be delivered in spring 2012.
