Eni extends engineering cooperation with University of Pisa

SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy — Eni has signed a five-year joint research agreement with the University of Pisa.

This will extend their collaboration to areas including metallurgy, new applications of ionic liquids, aerial and submarine robotics, and IT.

Eni has worked for several years with the University’s Ionic Liquids Group on techniques such as separation of acid gases (H₂S and CO₂), the treatment of sulphur, and the development of advanced algorithms for subsurface analysis and polymer synthesis.
