Black Elk reports second successful flow test at Ship Shoal 198

HOUSTON –Black Elk Energy Offshore Operations, LLC, has announced a second successful flow test conducted on July 25, 2013, at the Ship Shoal block 198, Well No. I-8 Sidetrack.
The flow test reported an average rate of 859 b/d of oil at 1,700 psi flowing tubing pressure. In addition to current completion, the company says it encountered over 20 reservoirs uphole that are behind pipe for future development consideration.
Last month, Black Elk announced a successfulflowtest at its Ship Shoal block 198 Well #I-6; and also reported a successful flow test of the side tracked High Island A443 #A5 well in the GoM, along with partner SCL Resources.
