IMarEST, Petronas enter personnel development MoU

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Britain’s Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Petronas on a collaboration to support the professional development of the latter’s offshore engineers.
They plan to jointly develop routes for professional registration (up to chartered status) and training programs for Petronas staff, and potentially organize joint webinars and knowledge sharing events.
Under the MoU, IMarEST will provide similar support to Petronas subsidiaries MISC Berhad, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and Institut Teknologi Petroleum PETRONAS (INSTEP).
