Andrew Hockey has informed the IOG plc board of his intention to retire as CEO and step down from the board with immediate effect. Rupert Newall will step up to become the new CEO. In addition, David Gibson will step down as COO with immediate effect. The board has appointed Dougie Scott the new COO. Scott will be appointed to the IOG board following satisfactory completion of regulatory due diligence. The board also has named John Arthur CFO with immediate effect. Read more.
Morten Pilgaard Rasmussen has been promoted to the newly created position of Siemens Gamesa global CTO, effective Jan. 1, 2023. Since March 2017, Pilgaard Rasmussen has been the head of offshore technology. In the new role, Pilgaard Rasmussen will be responsible for bringing together the onshore and offshore technology teams to develop a common way of working and joint technology solutions for both types of wind turbines. He will be a member of the Executive Committee, reporting directly to Siemens Gamesa CEO Jochen Eickholt. He will be based in Pamplona, Spain.
Baker Hughes has appointed Nancy Buese CFO, effective Nov. 2, 2022. Buese previously served as executive vice president and CFO of global mining company Newmont Corp. from 2016 until earlier this year. With Buese’s appointment, current CFO Brian Worrell will move to a strategic adviser role on Nov. 2 and will depart the company in the second quarter of 2023.
Matthew Powers has joined VAALCO Energy Inc.'s senior leadership as executive vice president and general counsel. Powers has nearly 20 years of legal experience with a focus on energy and direct experience working on projects in Africa, including in Gabon and Egypt.
Crowley has promoted Meaghan Atkinson to vice president of sustainability. In her new role, Atkinson will lead Crowley’s sustainability journey and drive action to decarbonize across the company’s operations and value chain to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
