Bruce Beaubouef is Managing Editor for Offshore Magazine. In that capacity, he oversees all content for the magazine, as well as newsletters, website and webcasts; and writes the monthly Gulf of Mexico and Drilling and Production columns for the magazine. Beaubouef has more than 13 years of experience in covering the oil and gas industry, and previously served as editor of PipeLine and Gas Technology; associate editor for Pipe Line and Gas Industry; and as editor of Pipeline Digest. Beaubouef earned his Ph.D. at the University of Houston in 1997, and his dissertation was published in book form by Texas A&M University Press in September 2007 as TheStrategic Petroleum Reserve: U.S. Energy Security and Oil Politics, 1975-2005.
