Aker to build AHTS for DOF

OSLO, Norway –DOF Installer ASA has contracted Aker Yards to build an anchor handling supply vessel for NOK 765 million ($142.35 million). Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2011.

The vessel will be based on Aker's AH 04 CD design and will have a bollard pull of more than 300 tons and a triple drum winch of 500-ton capacity.

Vessel length will be 108 m (354 ft) and the beam will be 24 m (78 3/4 ft).
