BATH, UK – Rotork has supplied electric and fluid power actuators for a new FPSO destined for the Libra oil fields in the presalt Santos basin offshore Brazil.
Metroval ordered the company’s intelligent IQ3 multi-turn electric actuators, and CP/GP quarter-turn pneumatic actuators, to control plug and butterfly valves on the vessel which will produce 180,000 boe/d.
MODEC will use the devices to control the flow of oil and gas from the FPSO to the metering system.
Rotork Site Services assisted with installation on site, providing valve adaptation, mounting the actuators on to the valves and commissioning.
