Statoil contracts Reinertsen to ready Kristin for tie-in to Maria

Statoil has contracted Reinertsen to prepare the Kristin platform for tie-in with Wintershall’s Maria field.

OSLO, Norway –Statoil has contracted Reinertsen to prepare the Kristin platform for tie-in with Wintershall’s Maria field.

The Statoil/Wintershall partnership aims to develop theMaria field as a subsea facility with two subsea templates.

Installation work in the Norwegian Sea is scheduled to be between 2016 and 2018, with production scheduled to start in 2018.

Wintershall Norge is the operator, with a 50% share. The other licensees are Petoro with 30% and Centrica with 20%.
