NEW ORLEANS – Personnel remain evacuated from 249 production platforms and nine rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, according to the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE).

Four dynamically positioned rigs remain off location.

From 25 operator reports, BSEE estimates that about 79.96% of the current oil and 83.21% of the gas production in the Gulf of Mexico have been shut-in. This equates to 1,455,279 b/d of oil and 1,877.65 MMcf/d of gas.
