Aker Solutions has issued progress reports on various North Sea oil and gas and offshore wind projects in a results update.

Last month, the steel jacket for Aker BP’s Valhall PWP platform in the southern Norwegian North Sea was towed from Aker Solutions’ yard in Verdal, Norway, and installed offshore.

At the Egersund yard, fabrication continues of the Hugin A utility module for the Yggdrasil multi-field development farther north, as does assembly of the Hugin A platform and the Valhall PWP at Stord.

Aker Solutions is advancing various HVDC wind projects for the European and US sectors. The Sunrise and East Anglia HVDC topsides are both close to completion and will depart for their respective offshore locations later this year.

Their jackets are under construction at Verdal.

For the Norfolk Vanguard West and East HVDC projects in the UK southern North Sea, construction continues in Dubai, and work has also started on recently awarded contracts for the steel substructures for the BalWin 1 and 2 HVDC projects, both destined for the German offshore sector.

Earlier this week, Aker Solutions also confirmed a contract award from Equinor to prepare the Troll C platform topside in the Norwegian North Sea to receive and process production from the planned Fram Sør subsea tie-in.
