Pipelay is due to be completed in the current quarter for the Fenja tieback to the Njord complex in the Norwegian Sea. Timing of sail-away of the upgraded Njord A FPU should be determined in 4Q.
Repairs related to the Barents Sea Snøhvit project, associated with damage at the gas reception/LNG complex outside Hammerfest, are progressing with operator Equinor targeting a re-start at the end of 1Q 2022.
In June, drilling started on the Ommadawn prospect (Neptune 20%) on Norwegian license PL970, close to existing discoveries. The company plans to spud the Dugong Tail exploration well shortly, with a view to proving further resources close to last year’s Dugong discovery.
Also in June, Neptune agreed to sell its interest in the Solsort field offshore Denmark to Danoil Exploration for up to $6 million, including contingent payments due on the achievement of certain milestones.
In April, the company confirmed a gas discovery at the Turkoois prospect in waters on the Netherlands/Germany border and adjacent to planned infrastructure.
Neptune is also progressing a feasibility study for injection of 5-8 MM metric tons (5.5-8.8 MM tons) of CO2 into depleted gas fields around the L10 platform in the Dutch North Sea.
Contracts have been awarded to assess the suitability of the offshore pipelines, infrastructure and wells for re-use.
