Platform jacket for Belal gas field in place offshore Iran

Petropars has completed the installation of a platform jacket for the Belal gas field in the Persian Gulf for operator National Iranian Oil Company.

Jacket platform for Belal gas field installed in Persian Gulf

Petropars has completed the installation of a platform jacket for the Belal gas field in the Persian Gulf for operator National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).

According to news service Shana, the 75-m-tall structure, weighing 3,100 t, was installed by the Safra-5000 vessel using the floatover method, followed by pile driving and attaching of additional components.

The jacket was built by Sadra Marine Industrial Co. in Bushehr.

Belal will have an estimated production capacity of 500 MMcf/d of gas.
