Forouzan platform nears start-up offshore Iran

TEHRAN, Iran – Iranian Offshore Oil Co.’s FY-B living quarters platform is close to entering service on the Forouzan oil field in the Persian Gulf.

According to a report by news service Shana, the platform, which can accommodate 45 staff, was installed at the field location in December, with equipment including the workshop, potable water system, and piping items installed from this May onwards.

Recently structural reinforcement work was completed, along with electrical and instrumentation supports, while piping continues of fire lines.

Pre-commissioning and initial commissioning of the platform could start next month.
