Offshore staff
HOUSTON and STAVANGER, Norway – Odfjell Drilling has contracted Harris CapRock Communications to delivery Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) communications for a total of seven mobile drilling rigs and drillships in the North Sea and offshore Africa as well as those under construction in South Korea.
The contracts are valued at approximately $13 million, including options. Harris CapRock will deploy VSAT to enable voice over IP (VoIP), corporate networking, Internet access, real-time monitoring and reporting, and crew information/entertainment services to the rigs.
