LONDON – Uptime at the TEN and Jubilee FPSOs offshore Ghana was above 98% during the first half of this year, operator Tullow Oil revealed in its latest results statement.

Improved gas offtake and increased water injection rates have been sustained at Jubilee, respectively averaging 110-130 MMcf/d and more than 200,000 b/d.

As for this year’s drilling campaign, the first new Jubilee producer (J-56) is onstream, adding around 10,000 b/d to production, slightly above expectations. The rig is now completing Jubilee water injector (J-55 WI), which should be tied-in later in the current quarter.

Thereafter the rig will drill a TEN gas injector and a second Jubilee producer, with tie-ins to follow in respectively late 2021 and early 2022.

Tullow’s exploration team is maturing various near-field and infrastructure-led opportunities as potential future drilling candidates close to its fields in Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and Gabon.

However, the company has exited blocks Z38 and Z64 offshore Peru and PEL 0037 offshore northern Namibia.
