LONDON – Tullow Oil says that remediation work is progressing on the turret of the Jubilee FPSO offshore Ghana.

Turret bearing stabilization works are due to start in 1Q 2018 and will likely necessitate shutdowns lasting four to six weeks.

The next-phase program, rotating the FPSO to its permanent heading and to final spread-mooring, should follow around the end of 2018, with a probable further shutdown of around three weeks.

Last month Ghana’s government approved theGreater Jubilee full-field development (GJFFD) plan, which involves developing additional reserves in the area and extending the Jubilee field production profile.

The partners can now start infill drilling on Jubilee and the subsequent development of the Mahogany and Teak fields.

As for Tullow’s other deepwater Ghana project, theTEN development, final commissioning of the FPSO is complete and with continued optimization of production and water injection, the field has regularly produced at more than 60,000 b/d.

Following theITLOS Tribunal decision resolving the maritime median line between Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, Tullow is close to securing a rig for drilling the remaining TEN wells and the GJFFD wells.

It currently expects the first well in the schedule to start early next year on the Ntomme area of the TEN fields.

Elsewhere, Tullow has committed to the next phase of the Walton Mourant license offshore Jamaica and will contract a 2,100-sq km (811-sq mi) 3D survey in 2018.

The company expects to complete the sale of its entireNetherlands portfolio to HALO later this month.
