ROG.e 2026: Petrobras awards Framo four-year FPSO pump services contract

The FPSO P-78 is the seventh platform in operation in the Búzios Field in the presalt layer of the Santos Basin offshore Brazil.

Framo has signed a four-year service agreement with Petrobras covering services for pumping systems across the Brazilian company’s fleet of around 30 FPSOs.

The arrangement covers inspection, maintenance and training for all installed Framo pumps, including seawater lift, firewater, cargo and water injection pumps.

The agreement was signed during the ROG.e 2026 event in Rio de Janeiro.

It is Framo’s largest service deal of its type to date, and involves a structured program of annual inspections, maintenance and training across the FPSOs.

The company’s local team in Rio de Janeiro will manage the program.

By 2028, the company expects to have more than 1,500 of its pumps operating in Brazil, driven by new FPSOs entering the sector.

Framo is also expanding its service capacity with a new maintenance facility at Galeão, allowing the company to better support clients locally throughout their equipment lifecycles, including inspection, maintenance and training.
