Bumi Armada, Sigma to cooperate on India FPSO turret

Bumi Armada has contracted Sigma Offshore for engineering assistance for a $62.2-million turret mooring system.

ABERDEEN, UK --Bumi Armada has contracted Sigma Offshore for engineering assistance for a $62.2-million turret mooring system. This will serve an FPSO on ONGC’s Cluster-7 field offshore western India.

ONGC awarded SP Armada, Bumi Armada's joint-venture with Shapoorji Pallonji and Co. Ltd, a charter contract for the vessel worth up to $1.1billion.

It is due to be delivered in November 2014 and will operate 210 km (130 mi) offshore Mumbai.

Previously Sigma provided turret engineering to Bumi Armada for the FPSOArmada Sterling for the D1 field.
