GREAT YARMOUTH, UKDORIS Group subsidiary ODE Asset Management (ODE AM) has completed 10 years of operations at the Babbage gas platform in the UK southern North Sea.

ODE AM has worked on the field development since the FEED stage and throughout its operational life, providing offshore and onshore support and management, maintenance and integrity management, and logistics/procurement support.

During this period, when there have been various changes in owners and license operators, production availability has been around 99.5%, the company claims, with year-on-year opex reductions.

Recently ODE AM was named installation and pipeline operator on behalf of current owners NEO Energy and Dana Petroleum.

Over the years ODE AM has also managed or supported drilling of several phase II wells, the transition of the platform from fully manned to not permanently manned operations in 2017, and various upgrades and brownfield modifications in collaboration with the company’s engineering department.

Babbage, which came onstream in August 2010, produces via a not permanently-attended installation, 55 mi (86 km) from the English east coast.
