MUSCAT, Oman – First oil has flowed from the completed Yumna 1 well in block 50 offshore Oman into an Aframax tanker, according to operator Masirah Oil.
The well was spud in late December, 30 km (18.6 mi) offshore east Oman. Results were as expected and have confirmed the updated reservoir model.
Yumna 1 tested 11,843 b/d of 42°API oil through a 1-in. choke. Further appraisal is under way via an extended early production test.
