Third South Pars phases 22-24 platform goes onstream offshore Iran

Pars Oil and Gas Co. has started operations on the third platform for phases 22 to 24 of the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf.

TEHRAN, Iran – Pars Oil and Gas Co. (POGC) has started operations on the third platform for phases 22-24 of the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf.

POGC’s deputy head of the project, Ali Asghar Sadeghi, told news service Shana that the platform has a production capacity of 14 MMcm/d (500 MMcf/d).

Hookup and commissioning of the facility took over a fortnight during harsh weather.

The first two platforms have a similar production capacity. The final platform for these phases should launch shortly, Sadeghi added.
