TEHRAN, Iran – Pars Oil and Gas Co. (POGC) has started operations on the third platform for phases 22-24 of the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf.
POGC’s deputy head of the project, Ali Asghar Sadeghi, told news service Shana that the platform has a production capacity of 14 MMcm/d (500 MMcf/d).
Hookup and commissioning of the facility took over a fortnight during harsh weather.
The first two platforms have a similar production capacity. The final platform for these phases should launch shortly, Sadeghi added.
