OSLO, Norway – ABB has signed an agreement to help Norwegian independent OKEA improve productivity on its E&P operations.
Under the memorandum of understanding OKEA will draw on ABB’s digital services such as ABB Ability, implementing new business models. The company, which acquired operatorship of the Draugen field in the Norwegian Sea from Shell, is looking to extend operations until 2040.
Its stated strategy is to bring into production undeveloped sub-100 MMboe discoveries.
