LONDON -- Chevron Nigeria has awarded Acergy a $500-million contract for a gas development program in Escravos, offshore Nigeria.

The contract covers the procurement and installation of over 130 km (81 mi) of pipelines; fabrication and installation of 15 risers and three subsea tie-ins; and installation of over 40 crossings.

Engineering will begin immediately, with offshore installation scheduled for 4Q 2010.
