Offshore staff
SYDNEY, Australia – Origin Energy has brought onstream the offshore Halladale/Speculant fields in the Otway basin offshore southeast Australia.
The project is expected to increase production at the onshore Otway Gas Plant by up to 80 TJ/day.
Development involved drilling from a land base, 30 km (18.6 mi) east of Warrnambool, to access the offshore reservoirs 5 km (3.1 mi) off the coast in the Otway basin; and construction of the new 33-km (20.5-mi) Halladale/Speculant pipeline, connecting the well site to the Otway Gas Plant.
