TEHRAN, Iran – Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Co. (IOECC) has completed installation of the South Pars platform 13A jacket in the Persian Gulf.
IOOEC official Payam Motamed told news service Shana the company deployed an Oceanic 5000 doppler velocity log vessel, managed by MSH, for the procedure. The vessel is equipped with a heavy-lift crane and pipe lay system.
The 1,500-ton jacket was mobilized to its offshore location in August and installation started soon after.
IOECC’s jacket docking program included determination of dynamic response and loads generated during the offshore installation of the conventional steel jacket over two pre-installed docking piles of different heights.
