ROTTERDAM, Netherlands – Hertel will design and build the living quarters for Statoil’s new Valemon platform in the Norwegian North Sea.
The living quarters will be housed in a 1,860-sq m (20,021-sq ft), eight-story building on the platform deck, which is under construction by Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea.
The module will include 40 single-bed cabins, kitchens and galleys, recreational areas, a medical center, and a large control room with a heli-deck.
Mechanical completion in Rotterdam is scheduled for April 2013.
