SBM Offshore has signed an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract for the FPSO GranMorgu with TotalEnergies EP Suriname.

The platform is central to the deepwater GranMorgu Field development in Block 58 offshore Suriname.

SBM’s O&M contract covers the operation readiness phase before first oil, and O&M services for a minimum of two years after first oil, with extension options.

TotalEnergies issued FID on the $10.5-billion GranMorgu development project in second-half 2024.

In a cooperation with Technip Energies, the all-electric drive platform will also be designed to minimize emissions, with zero routine flaring and full reinjection of associated gas into the reservoirs.

In addition, Saipem’s GranMorgu EPCI scope for the subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) package includes about 100 km of 10- to 12-inch subsea production flowlines, 90 km of 8- to 12-inch water and gas injection lines, and transport and installation of flexible risers, umbilicals and associated structures in water depths ranging from 100 m to 1,100 m.
