Talisman North Sea focus on hub expansion

CALGARY, Canada --Talisman Energy (TSX:TLM;NYSE:TLM) says redevelopment of the Montrose area, including facilities upgrades, development drilling, and tieback of undeveloped fields, will accounts for half its UK North Sea spending this year.

Further funds will be directed at infill drilling, water injection, platform, and subsea upgrades. In addition, Talisman could re-examine options for developing the Auk South field.
Offshore Norway, the company’s expenditure will focus on the Brage and Varg fields in the North Sea, including development drilling, field extensions, near-field exploration, and the Varg gas export project.
