Petrobras and ONGC Videsh have submitted a declaration of commerciality for block BM-SEAL-4 in the Sergipe Alagoas basin offshore Brazil.

NEW DELHI, IndiaPetrobras and ONGC Videsh have submitted a declaration of commerciality for block BM-SEAL-4 in the Sergipe Alagoas basin offshore Brazil.

In 2019 Petrobras as operator discovered a large gas field in the concession. The field name proposed to regulator ANP is Budião. With plans to start production after 2026.

According to ONGC Videsh, Petrobras envisages installation of a shared FPSO and a gas pipeline. The consortium will continue activities for submission of the development plan to the regulator.

ONGC Videsh is the overseas division of state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp.
