Offshore staff
HOUSTON – Qatargas has contracted McDermott International to perform front-end engineering and design (FEED) work for Qatar Petroleum’s offshore North Field South (NFS) project.
Tareq Kawash, McDermott’s senior vice president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “As oil and gas field development continues in the region, we are poised to build on this initial work to further support Qatargas as they progress the subsequent phases of the NFS project.”
The scope includes five ‘replica’ offshore wellhead platforms. McDermott will execute the FEED from its offices in Doha.
