DOHA, Qatar – Qatar Petroleum has awarded McDermott Middle East the front-end engineering design contract for the North Field expansion project’s offshore pipelines and topsides facilities.
The scope includes engineering design for eight unmanned wellhead platform topsides, four 38-in. trunklines, and four 28-in. intra-field pipelines.
The work should take 12 months to complete, Qatar Petroleum said.
