Offshore staff
HOUSTON — QatarEnergy has commissioned McDermott International to perform the FEED for Qatar’s North Field South offshore pipelines and power/FO cables project.
The work is in addition to McDermott’s earlier awards this year for the North Field South jackets, topsides and pipelines for the North Field Expansion Project (NFXP).
The North Field South infrastructure, which is part of NFXP, will supply feed gas for two additional LNG trains, helping to raise Qatar’s total LNG production from the current 77 MMt/year to 126 MMt/year.
McDermott will work on FEED studies for offshore and onshore pipelines, cables and associated facilities, managing the program from the company’s Doha office with support from Chennai.
