RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has postponed its Parque das Baleias project in the Campos basin offshore southern Brazil by around one year, due to economic conditions brought on by COVID-19.

Start-up and first oil have been pushed back to 2024, although relocation of wells between platforms will likely take place as planned in 2022.

As a result, the company has cancelled bidding for the platform charter bidding and authorized the start of a new bid process.
